For my source, Why is Utah Getting trashed?, the author is the late Tracy Smith. He worked in the news industry for 40 years and joined ABC4 News in 2011. He worked in various roles at KUTV before coming to ABC4 News. He was hit by a truck and died from his injuries. Across his 40 year career, he was able to uplift people around him with storytelling and was an extremely positive force to those around him.
So um, yeah, I didn’t expect the guy who wrote this to be dead, but he is. He seems very well loved with the myriad of articles on him after his passing all from Utah news sources.
