Throughout my process of researching the Information effect, one of the things that I found that was really insightful was the massive amounts of statistics from the study from keep america beautiful. I noticed some key ideas throughout each of the statistics. These ideas were things like the disproportionate amount of cigarette litter vs. every other type of litter and the comparatively small amount of litter on roads. This could be a sign of organizations like the Utah Department of Transportation doing a great job at deleting that sort of stuff. In response, I added many details related to this in my information effect essay.
One of the most significant choices that I made in the information effect was to structure it like an annotated bibliography. It took a lot of thinking on how I should present the information that I needed to affect, because there was no real template for this project unlike some of the other stuff that have happened previously in english. With the choice to make it an annotated bibliography, it was a bit difficult to direct it towards aa specific audience when its just a scattered collection of sources and annotations on those sources.
1 practice I engaged myself with during the information effect was through examining each source that I found to find the origin of the information and how that fit with the information that I already had and how I should organize the information together to create a cohesive whole in my piece.
